I've only noticed it as part of GLIDE - its function is to convert  
a .gpr into a .adp so not likely to be part of GPS? (though clearly  
it's likely that GPS would need the same functionality. Building GPS  
on a Mac is far from easy, and Emacs rules, so I must admit I haven't  
looked hard ..
