And the semi-final push for elscreen is that it's modeled after GNU  
screen for keyboard fans -- basically, with prefix C-z instead of C-a  
its usage is very similar -- you switch between screens with C-z n/p,  
swap between two last ones with C-z C-a, etc.  You can ist them and  
select from a list with C-z ", etc.
